I love photographing places like this. Nice job bringing the image to life. My only comments were about the lighting and leveling of the building which were mentioned by Larry and Michael. |

Larry, good comments about the lighting. When I composite an image it's always the biggest challenge. |

I like the creative approach for this image and the brightness of the flowers pop against the dark blurred background. The depth of your focal plane doesn't allow for a few of the flowers to be in focus and I would think with the chosen aperture it should have. Tough shot to take on a windy day! Nice job. |

Great image. The composition, light and color all work well together. There's enough breathing room at the top for the flag. Like Arne my only comment is the boat coming into the frame. |

Larry, good for you to get in and get the shot! Boone Hall is very strict when it comes to photography and entrance on the property. It's a beautiful location especially with the golden light coming through from the sunset. Overall it seems a little dark on my screen. My only suggestion would be to add a radial gradient to brighten the road leading to the house. |

Thank you everyone for your comments. As much as I loved seeing the chicks in the nest the most exciting part was seeing the barn swallows brilliant architectural skills. |

Wild turkeys are always on the trails in NC and my dog is usually chasing them so I never photograph them. I like that you captured 3 turkeys and the how the soft background makes them stand out. Because the turkeys are in motion, it would have been nice to see the legs of the turkey in the back or some separation. Overall nice image and awesome Canadian geese image. |

Adrian, this is such a beautiful location. Glad you did the trek to get there as it's something you'll always remember. I like panos and love taking them with my iPhone, but like the others I'm liking the original better. The pano doesn't feel balanced to me. For me, the right side feels heavier than then left because of the dense trees right along the edge. The original has more room for the mountains and the color is richer. Beautiful image. |

This photo makes me wonder if they're having fun playing or jockeying for the best position on the tree. Good for you that you were able to capture it. I do like how Isaac brightened the image. Great capture. |

Shooting through water is a challenge especially if you're further away from your subject and in this case keeping your distance was a good idea. The colors are beautiful and you did a great job with post processing. I actually like the crop as is. Great photo, Mary. |

Maria, welcome again! The bird's gesture really makes this image interesting. The soft background, lighting, and the single branch helps to keep your eye on the bird. I agree with the others about the crop. I'm wondering how this would look with a 16x9 crop as it would remove a lot of space from the top and also leave some breathing space between the end of the branch and the edge. Very nice artistic image. |

Beautiful image Bruce. Color, composition, light - everything works. Because I love owl eyes my only wish would have been for the owl to look at the camera but it's still a great capture. BTW, smart move on your part to change locations. |
