I always study the image before reading the info and I would have never guessed it was a shipwreck. I was immediately drawn to the color and the shadows on the sand. I also like the silhouette appearance of the structure. It is the beach and sand is messy but the scattered pieces of debris on the sand distracts my eye from the shadows which is a strong part of the image. Very nice. |

I like the birds eye view of your home town and I think you captured it well. When I look at the image the first thing I see is the color, shapes and forms of the roofs. With a zoom lens I think this would make a great abstract photo. Very nice. |

I like the angle from which the photo was taken and how you made the steps pop as it leads you into the forest. I also like the size of the trees in the frame as it helps to portray the natural environment. My preference would be to have a little less saturation in the trees but it's the artist's call. Very nice image. |

Before reading your summary, I was immediately attracted to the wings on the building. Perfect image for B/W. My only suggestion is to darken the lower portion a bit. Again, it's just my preference. Very nice image. |

I do appreciate how you think and plan for an image. I'm always a bit hesitant getting my camera too close to salt water especially with waves being so erratic. The lens coat was a great idea. One of the first things I noticed is the soft mist along the rocks. Nice job with the exposure to capture it. The feel is very moody and peaceful. I wouldn't change anything. |

Thanks Michael. I appreciate your comments especially about the two limbs that come together. I was watching a webinar a few weeks ago in which spacing and separation were discussed. Moving forward, it's something I will be more conscious about when composing. |
