I know - that sky was amazing! I actually thought of taking down the Vibrance & Saturation a bit since folks would think I pushed it too far. It really was THAT blue and made a nice contrast against the browns and greens. Thanks for reinforcing the comment about losing some of that tree. Great suggestions! |

Too funny - I found another "Rock Hugger!" I think you and Tom are both right about darkening the bottom.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. |

I definitely could lose some of that tree to the left. It created a nice frame for the building - and it was very interesting, but the image certainly doesn't need THAT much tree! I'll have to think about those rocks. I'm a "Rock Hugger" (as well as a "Tree Hugger"!), so I kinda liked them there as a bit of a "frame", but I could see them being interpreted as a "barrier."
You should check out Rhyolite before the desert totally reclaims it! Thanks so much for the suggestions. |

Good idea. I didn't think about that until you suggested it - that might help.
Thanks for the tip! |

I love the movement you've captured in this shot. It took me a second to refocus my eyes on the boots in the middle group to realize you caught the soldiers going both directions. That almost counteracted my first thought, which was to crop out those soldiers on the left, as they seemed to take your eye out of the photo. Now I'm not so sure - but I still might try it! You couldn't completely eliminate the purple frame, but you might be able to crop just to the left, then clone it out.
Great capture! |

This image certainly brightened my day!
I love your composition; placing the center of the flower more toward the bottom - that (and the beautiful color!) tends to create an upward, optimistic feel to your photo.
I agree with the suggestions to try some focus stacking. We recently had a presentation on Floral Photography and he was able to achieve some amazing images! Your "a lot of Photoshop work" comment made me smile. Don't tell anyone else so as not to dispel the cinematic (yep, Erin, I stole your comment!) effect you achieved!
I love the colors, but would like a little more space on the left if you have it. There seems to be a small rock in the water that would make a nice leading line into the upward sweep of the rock. But, from a rocking boat, you might not have grabbed those extra pixels. AI??
Also, there might be a tiny bit of haloing across the top and on the right side of the rocks.
Wonderful capture and post-processing!

OK, you might have finally inspired me to try a collage. This is beautiful. I'm not an underwater gal, so I really appreciate the talent required to get these wonderful photos. Your layout and the color (and critter!) balance are spot on. I love how the rays balance each other in the corners as do the reef shots at the top.
Beautiful piece! |

Love the "up close and personal" effect! I agree about toning down the lighter spots and I might even consider cropping out a bit of the bottom leaf to move this handsome fella (or gal) more off-center.
Nice job! Thanks for sharing. |

Wow, I agree that I never would have known this was a composite. That was great work. My second thought was that I would like just a bit more room around the birds. They look a bit crowded in the frame.
Super job. Thanks for sharing. |
