Hi Ingrid,
I was fortunate indeed, to travel with some very adventurous folks to experience this. Thank goodness I didn't have to drive!
Thanks for your observations on those shadows, I might see if I can lighten them a bit to even this out.

Hi Greg,
It is quite a trip - very rugged for the 4WD and the folks in it!
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Tom,
I always learn something when you "play" with our images. I love the effect you created by enhancing the saturation. It really made it pop.
Thanks!

Hi Darcy,
It WAS an adventure. Several hours in a 4WD, returning well after dark!
Thanks for the suggestions. I might try a different crop.

Hi Kamal,
Wow - BLUE! (One of my favorite colors!)
I agree with Darcy that you might try a panorama look by taking a bit off both the top and the bottom.
Now, I really want to go there. What a beautiful capture!

Hi Erin,
How did you get him to pose like that? I love the diagonal line created by his wings - which are very sharp almost all the way to the tip.
The water droplets add a nice touch to the story also. You might try to remove that one vertical branch in the lower left corner.
I envy you being able to catch birds in flight! Nice job!

HI Tom,
I agree with Ingrid - WHOA!!! I had never heard of a flying fox - and never really seen a fruit bat. What a wonderful capture!
I AM in the "Cropping Camp". I would recommend a bit off the left and the bottom. Dare I say, more of a symmetrical image?! Maybe even a square? You might just play with it some.
Thanks for sharing that WHOA moment!

Hi Greg,
What a great photo - and a terrific title. You've created a fun story with this captured moment. I'll bet it has brought a LOT of smiles.
Nice job!

Hi Darcy,
Wow - I agree that I want to go there! The architecture and colors that you have captured are terrific!
My first impression was that I REALLY wanted that tower to be off-center. I'm not sure which way you could adjust to make that happen, so it might just have to stay. I also noticed the lone building up the hill. You might try taking that out to help keep the viewer's eye on your main attraction.
Beautiful shot!

Hi Ingrid,
I agree that the lighting makes this image! And, I would leave that bit of blue sky in - just as your instincts indicated. I wouldn't change a thing.
Great job!
