I had that color argument with myself for days, and eventually decided to print it in color on metal to submit to our competition - mainly because that was what I wanted on my wall!
I did darken the sky on the color version. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Tom,
I thought about removing that part on the right, but since it is part of the lighthouse, I decided to leave it. Maybe I should have shot from a different angle. Hmmm - we'll just have to go back!

Hi Kamal,
A very nice abstract and wonderful view from that height.
You might try a small crop from the top and maybe a bit of a vignette to guide the viewer's eye to this lovely pattern of nets.

I like the black and white, but I'm going out on a limb and cast a dissenting vote... I like the orange! I'll bet it would look great with the same treatment and crop. Just my 2 cents!

Hi Tom,
I, too, am impressed with the technical skill it took to create such a beautiful, sharp image. I do think you might try desaturating the red a bit to help bring the viewer's focus back to that wonderful shell.

What a feast of color!
I love how you balanced the three images in your triptych. Your focus is right on and your choice of f5 gives a nice blur to the background and helps your subjects really stand out. I'll add another vote to darken the two backgrounds to help the sense of continuity across all 3 images.
