Hi Ingrid,
Don't ya' just love Charleston?! I'm sure we'll go back again.
Great suggestion on those clouds. The good news is that in our "Assigned Subject" categories, our club allows any and all edits. As we say, "the sky is the limit" for editing and even combining multiple images. So, maybe I'll just try a whole SKY replacement!
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Erin,
Yep, that grey cloud has been bugging me - along with the "too blue" sky below it. I have more time, so I might "re-panorama" (if that's a word!) it and see if I get a better result.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Darcy,
What a great idea. They are special friends, so this would be a great excuse to re-visit "my new special tree"! I wonder if they get much snow in Charleston. Wouldn't THAT be stunning!?
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Tom,
Great suggestions. I have some time before the image is due next month, so I'll see what I can do to brighten that beautiful moss.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Kamal,
I always enjoy the glimpses you provide into the lives of your hard-working countrymen. This is a stunning shot!
My only (picky!) suggestion might be to darken that light sand in the upper left corner. It does draw the eye away from the action just a bit.
Well captured and edited! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Erin,
What a great story in this shot! I love the colors and that off-center silhouette of your friend.
I agree with the others about the halo, maybe caused by over-sharpening(?) I sort of like the flagpole on the left, but I think I'd make it the left edge of the photo and edit out the halyard.
I want to be there! Great job!

Hi Tom,
Thanks for introducing me to a Little Corella. I've never heard of them. And what a great shot to capture this bird's personality in such sharp focus.
The only thing I might suggest (as others have) is a slight vignette to bring more attention to the star of your show.
Great job!

Hi Greg,
Terrific portrait! Getting those eyes sharp - with the catch lights is amazing. It really establishes a connection with the creature. And it's hard to believe that was your original. Impressive editing skills!
I agree about the towel in the foreground. Try a tighter crop off the bottom and see if removing that distraction makes a difference. Darkening the post on the left might also help to draw the viewer's eye to this beautiful bird.
Great job!

Hi Darcy,
Beautiful shot! This took me back, to as irises were my Mom's favorite flowers. I agree with Ingrid, I've seen dozens of iris varieties, but never this stunning color!
I also agree that you might want to darken the greenery at the bottom to draw more attention to the lovely bloom. While you're at it, hit that part of the stem just below the smaller bud.
Very well done!

Hi Ingrid,
I LOVE it. The rich colors and textures are terrific! It's great that you placed the circle in the middle as an "anchor" for the surrounding images.
One suggestion:
The white-ish pipe in the middle bottom bothers me just a bit. Maybe you could flip it horizontally and change places with the image in the bottom left corner. That might create two leading lines into the more interesting image of the gears. Just a thought.
Great job!
