You are right, it IS an emotion-provoking scene. A photo - even a panorama - just can't do it justice. Thank goodness I'll have another opportunity to take another whack at a new angle in a few weeks.
Thanks for the feedback.

The flags will be back again this year, so I have another opportunity to see this from some other angles.
I did like the way that the city seems to "embrace" those flags, but I will definitely try something different.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I DO plan to go back again this year to help plant flags and will certainly look for some different angles. That is QUITE a hill, but it should be QUITE a different perspective.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the different perspective shown in your crop.
I think I might have another version with the whole building - I'll take a look and see if it makes it too skinny! And you're right, it was a minor miracle (and a lot of patience) to have no cars on the road.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Kamal,
What an interesting building and a wonderful capture. I like the abstract feel.
I do agree that it seems just a bit tilted - that was my first impression, also. Removing or darkening a bit of the foreground would help bring the eye more quickly to this fascinating structure.
Great job!

Hi Erin,
Great capture! I agree that this whimsical subject definitely supports a whimsical angle. YouDee is nice and sharp and your depth of field is spot on to blur that background. I agree that you should look into taking those powerlines out - but I like the little people off in the distance.
Fun image - keep up the good work!

Hi Tom,
Wow - another wonderful image! It is well-balanced and the colors are spectacular! I do agree that the object in the lower right corner needs to go.
Beautiful - thank for sharing.

Hi Greg,
You have certainly created a wonderful, serene image. The textures and colors work wonderfully together. I think that I, too would like a little less of the tree on the left, but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.
Great job!

Hi Darcy,
Great capture! I think that both backpacks addd to the story and certainly capture/balance those colors in the train.
I agree that you might want to darken the upper portion - or even crop it down just a bit.
Have you applied any Denoise or Sharpening?
Definitely a winner!

Hi Ingrid,
I LOVE it! What a great capture!
Very creative framing using the window and the fence rail. I wouldn't change a thing.
Have you heard of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards? I believe the contest is open right now. You should definitely enter this one!
