Hello Kamal,
I do like that my camera club creates these challenges for us. I would have never thought about trying to find a "minimalist" scene to photograph!
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Ingrid,
I like flipping the image. Now, if I take your suggestion and Darcy's about moving that tree, I'll have some more work to do. Oh - and moving the horses. Gee - maybe we should just go back to Kentucky!
Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi Darcy,
Yep - those Kentucky clouds were incredible. Now that you point out about the tree being too close to the edge, that's all I can see. Darn. I'll have to fix that. The horses' heads bothered me, too. Not much I can do about that, though.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Kamal,
Terrific image! I have to tell you, a similar image won "Best in Show" in our annual camera club competition a couple of years ago.
My only suggestion would be to eliminate a bit of the foreground and maybe a bit of the sky to turn this into more of a pano shot.
I totally agree with Greg's comment about visiting all of your exotic locations without getting on a plane.
Thank you!

Hi Erin,
Beautiful treatment of the colors in those leaves. It certainly gives a warm sense of "fall in the air."
I do have a suggestion. When I first saw your image, my screen didn't display the entire photo, and I thought "what a lovely Fall shot". Then I scrolled down and realized there was more. Which made me think, "The REAL story is in the leaves and the sun-burst at the top. Those trees at the bottom don't add much to your message. I'd crop them out and see what the resulting image looks like.
Great job!

Hmmm - I like that idea of flipping it. I think I'll give that a try.
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Tom,
I love the warmth of your finished image. You're right about the house/barn adding some additional interest, along with the road. Even though it's not technically a "leading line", it helps the eye to wander through the image, around that curve and back to the buildings. Masterful job (you and Ps!) removing all those wires.
The only thing that bothers me a little is the pinkish tinge to the clouds. It seems out of sync with the overall feel of the image.
Awesome shot and terrific post processing work!

Hi Greg,
Beautiful sunflower portrait. I like seeing the original to see what you did to achieve this stunning shot. Good choice to focus (pun intended!) on just the single bloom. You lighting adjustments were spot on. It almost seems like the flower is leaning in, just waiting to greet us with a cheery "What's up"!
Excellent job!

Hi Darcy,
What a view! You certainly captured it and gave us a sense of the vastness with the lady on the zipline in the foreground. (I'm very jealous, BTW!)
I like the trees you used for framing, but I'm wondering if you might crop in a bit from the left. Maybe along the trunk of that tallest tree. Also try shaving some off the right side, too.
Very nice shot!

Wow, Ingrid! This is a beautiful flower portrait. I love the rainbow of colors that just seem to glow in that beautiful, natural light.
I like the background, but I'm wondering how it would look if you darken it and blur it even more. Just a thought...
Great shot!
