Hi Kamal,
Oh, I like that: it IS a "floral portrait" I suppose. She was obviously "ready for her close-up".
Thank you for the compliments.

Hi Darcy,
Thanks so much for the compliments.
You don't know how many "rose pictures" I tossed before I settled on this one! You're right it IS hard! They are beautiful flowers, but hard to do justice with a two-dimensional photo.
I appreciate your feedback!

Hi Erin,
Thanks for your comments.
One of our camera club members is also a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association. When he did an Image Evaluation for our club, he STRONGLY encouraged us to "finish" our digital photos with "mats" and "strokes" (that's what they are called in Photoshop). He did a training session for us and since then, I've framed most of my digital photos for our competition.
I like the "finished" look it gives to most of my photos.
Thanks for viewing!

Hi Tom,
I do understand what you mean - there IS detail in those petals, but you can almost feel the softness because of the beautiful shading in those petals.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Kamal,
I always look forward to see what new and different cultural experience you will share each month!
I agree with the prior suggestions to crop out the 4 observers on the left and the three on the far right. Your camel will still have enough room in the images so he doesn't seem confined. I do think that you should revisit the cloning of the other folks in that "dust cloud". Lightroom now does a great job with this (as does the Content Aware Fill in Ps, if you want to take the extra time.) I kinda like the two guys in black off to the left. They lend a bit of perspective.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Erin,
Great capture in a difficult situation. You have certainly caught the moment with great sharpness at the center where the action is and a nice blurred background to set it off.
My only suggestion would be to crop from the top down to that next bench to eliminate the body-less feet at the top.
Great job!

Hi Tom,
My first thought was "Wait - it's not October yet!" Spooky is certainly the word to describe this image!
I love what you've done with the lighting to bring the eye to the sky behind, then down to the window, and finally to the bush below the window.
I did feel that it might be tilted a bit and I was sad to see the lack of detail in the bush to the left. Oops - I just looked at the original and that's a cloud in the sky. Nevermind!
Awesome image!

Hi Greg,
Your title made me giggle! Love it (and now I can't get that song out of my head - thanks a LOT!)
I agree with the others that it's a great capture, but it could be a tad brighter with a crop off the top to avoid those decapitations that Darcy mentioned.
Terrific capture!

Hi Darcy,
Welcome back!
What a beautiful architectural shot. I love the symmetry. The only thing I might suggest is to maybe lighten the shadows in the columns on the right just a bit.
Nice capture of a gorgeous building!

Ingrid,
What a great capture! I love the "attitude" that you captured against that beautiful bokeh background!
Well done.
