Love the eyes and the shoulders and that little hand creeping in there! What I don't love is the ear. Maybe just bring the right side crop in just a bit. Make sure you can see both of the eyes, but eliminate that ear! That would also eliminate the lighter area that everyone else mentioned.

Good catch on the gantry "growing" from the laptop. That is a bit distracting. I only see the greenish tint on the building; the color on the model's face seems fine to my eyes.
You might consider just a tiny crop in from the left to place her more into the left-hand third of the image and remove those smaller buildings.

Interesting before and after! Love the "feel" you gave this image. I think you accomplished your mission.
The texture made me look twice, but it seems to work. The only thing I might suggest is to take the highlights down just a bit on the very right tree. To me, it seems a bit distracting from the overall "cold" feel of the image. |

Hi Greg,
I share the sentiments of the others. Great capture of her expression, but the background is distracting and doesn't really add to the story. It's too bad there wasn't some interaction with the hitch-hiking pigeon!

Fantastic image!
We adopted our two daughters from the Hunan Province in China, so this was quite nostalgic for me.
I don't think I would change a thing!

Thanks, everyone!
I do like the tighter crop and the warming of the image.
Great advice - thank you!
