Jason, interesting shot. I like the view and certainly fits the category of "atmosphere." In trying to decide where the focus of the image is supposed to be, I think that there are some significant distractions. IMO, the three focal points are the barn, the yellow tree on the right, and the negative space / large distant tree to the left of the barn. The last of those is significantly impacted by distractors - power lines and the ? pipe running horizontally. I tried to clean it up a bit and recrop - attached is a ROUGH pass, with more time, could do a better job of getting rid of the pipe. Curious what others think... Thanks for sharing this! |

I love it - a bird picture of a bird I'd never even heard of! Tawny-flanked prinia? Personally, I'd crop it a bit tighter to get rid of the other stuff. Not sure if Topaz could sharpen up the caterpillar in its mouth? |

Sunil, this is an amazing shot! I really like how you've brighted up the beam of light coming in on the horse. Agree with Jason's comment - think that the further you get from the horse / light, the less the details are adding. I'd try darkening out further and cropping in a bit, can probably sacrifice "of texas" into the shadows without compromising the focus of the image. Rough suggestion: |

Nice image - I actually like how you've restored / brightened it up, but it's pretty noisy... Have you run it through Topaz DeNoise yet to see you it looks? |

Brenda, great capture! Agree the sky seems a little flat, but the birds are great, and my eyes aren't looking at the sky. curious, were you shooting with eye AF or back button focuse for this? In comparison to the original image, you've done a great job honing in on the point of action and adjusting with the Topaz suite to clean it up. I'm not sure how else to optimize the birds, curious if others have suggestions. Looks as good as I would have been able to do! |
