Excellent shot Jason! I'm late to the round, appreciate the feedback of others - great suggestions here. Haven't had a chance to work yet with sky replacement in PS as suggested by Brenda, but this might be a good image to give it a go! |

Nice image - I like the tighter crop pooposed by Sunil, not sure that I would do additional rotation / manipulation. Captures the moment nicely :) |

Hi Helen - nice capture. You caught a very unique moment/pose of the bird, which I appreciate! Personally I woudl keep the reflection in the image. I'm a big fan of pelicans - currently in Cabo and saw a flock (?) of 11 pelicans flying in formation low over the surge. Sadly, did not have camera in hand. they look truly prehistoric. Only ones I get in Phx are at the zoo.
Not personally sold on the horizontal flip yet (sorry, Jason), but delighted to read all of these other processing suggestions. Nothing else to add form my end. Thanks!

Beautiful image Sunil. To me, he looks like he's leaving all the chaos behind. perhaps leaving the city life behind. Nice thing about this kid of shot, everyone can see their own version of the story. Not much to add to the processing - I think your decision to go monochrome is spot on. nice job! |

Love it Jim. So many times over the years I've discarded a photo at first glance, even though I've been shooting raw for many years. This is a striking reminder of how much can be recovered, and you've really created a great image here. Great detail in the foreground, with nice leading lines into the image. Agree with comments above, the windows are a challenge, particularly the one on the right. I woudl probably go with with a tighter crop to get rid of it, just doesn't seem to fit (to my eye). Woudl mean losing part (or all) of the log on the right sid - tough tradeoff. Nice job! |

Sorry to be late to the show this month. Beautiful image capture - not sure that I have a lot to add. FWIW, with respect to the fence, I like the initial decision to keep the rider at the edge of the white fence - looking out to a freedom that lies beyond. Really nice job. you're all much more skilled than I at PS removal of items!!! |

Hi Terry - not the water spout - the whale is rotating while it breaches. The water going up is spraying off the tip of its fin... Blowhole is currently under the whale facing down. |
