Hi Jason,
Interesting backdrop - If you're close to this place I might reshoot standing further to the right to see how it looks with the other signs... Agree a vintage vehicle might lend itself well to this... |

intersting shot - I don't have much experience with street photography... Like the moment that you've captured. Particularly like the plants in the phonebooth - very intersting. My eye is drawn to the front left - you've cut the end of the steps off, which I realize was necessary to get rid of much of the background items on the left side, but my eye's getting stuck on that front corner poking out. Wonder if could transform / warp it a little to fit that in while keeping the essence of your crop. Interested in others' suggestions... Thx |

Nice shot Helen - I really like the juxtaposition of the older foreground and the cityscape in the back. Depending how aggressive you wanted to be with cleanup (and how skilled you are with PS), might try to get rid of the shadows creeping in on the left side foreground, and maybe even the street sign on the front right. |

Fantastic photo Sunil. Great textures, and the metaphors as pointed out already are striking. Nice transformation of a challenging original. |

Great shot! I'm a huge fan of this kind of photo, which forces the viewer to stop and think about what they're looking at.. Not sure there's much I'd do with this - might see how it looks if you eliminated the clouds altogether (as they're not so spectacular, as far as clouds go). I love the shifting blue tones in the sky. Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing! |

Very neat Brenda - tremendous job catching the moment here - I love the action that you have captured. Also, very much agree with the decision to darken background and get the spectators out of the view. I'm trying to figure out the right side of the photo - there's a double vertical bar that seems a little distracting. If it were me, I'd probably crop in a tiny bit to get the right vertical post out of the picture, however, it looks like that crop line might cut the shadow on the ground, which I woudl not want to do. Here's the strange part - when I look at your original, however, the shadow goes out past the double vertical post - did you do some manipulation to shorten the shadow...? |
