Painterly... I love it. I'm sure the owners will too! I'm obsessed with straight horizons and walls, but sometimes they're not straight, so we have to decide whether to leave as it is. In this case it doesn't bother me at all, because the fence takes a dramatic dive downhill to the left, which accentuates the slope. I love it. I hope you find the texture again! |

I'm a fan of tight crops (see my image this month) but I agree if you raised the camera slightly it would make a huge difference. I also like the frame made by the bird's legs and beak. |

Thanks everyone. The problem with this kind of display as we all know is that you're behind ropes/fences, and surrounded by lots of people, so you have to pick your spot and moment. I can't remember now what I cropped out, but there was something in the background:-) Thanks for the comments.

Lovely image...very evocative of the time and place. I agree about the sky. Love the rocks. Just a thought, John...do you think the red building at the front detracts? Have you tried it in mono? Lovely nonetheless. |
