Kamal, the flower is interesting, but I find the original to be soft and slightly out of focus making your post processing job hard. You did a good job of sharpening the center but I see no anchor for the flower which seems to be floating above the blurred background. Nice effort. |

Doug, I always love these studies you do of leaves. The curves, swirls, shapes and colors are always worth spending extra time checking out. Both you and I love to stack, and this is the reason why. I do think I like the original a bit more and wondered how this would look in a landscape composition. Here's a possibility. Nice job. |

Bob, I believe I made the F stop choice based on the distance the background was from the rose. The background had many imperfections that I did not want to appear so I tried (and failed) to get just the blossom in focus and not a bit of the background. I was also hand holding the camera so keeping it at 125th sec. is what I'm comfortable at. With regards to PSA liking flowers in focus, some of my favorite flower images show only a small portion of the subject in focus and I find that this creates a certain dreaminess that can only be captured in photography or through an artist's paintbrush. |

Beautiful flower and nice background. The flower itself is super sharp. Interesting that the drops look like small craters on the upper right petals. Another thing you might consider, unless that part of the appeal of the flower, is erase the small black bug on the left petal. Great job, as usual. |

Bob, it was shot at f5/6, 125/s, and 100 iso at 152 mm against a white background. |

Great winter scene. The horizontal drifts against the solid vertical are visually striking and add tension. I love the blue! I too would remove the tiny branch. Great job. A wall hanger. |

You know what makes this image special, that reddish halo around the subject. Great touch. The flowers are quite striking, so hard to get the reds right and you did!. Beautiful job. |

What an interesting color daylily. The background you created is great but I'm having trouble identifying the two flowers in the image as they blend together. Also, the further flower is a bit out of focus compared to the front. I do agree with Marti, that some kind of anchor would go a long way in helping the image along. |
