Kamal, although I love the idea behind this image, but this is one of those times when you need to kick your smartphone into manual mode and overexpose. I do a lot of bird photography and it is one of the key things you learn early, better to have an overly bright sky and a well exposed bird. We are all learning, so keep it up! Love seeing your exotic shots. |

Ingrid, what I first saw this (before reading your description) I thought it was an exercise in compositing! But you caught the background perfectly. The flowers are also quite striking. Really nice image that's made even more interesting by shooting mostly the backs of the blossoms. |

Hi Doug, I think your final image is quite striking and I agree with some of the others that the out of focus leaves are a distraction. The flower itself is sharp, almost like you used a macro lens and focus stacking (but you didn't!). As for the leaves, I'd try to erase them completely and see what you have. Nice job. |

Marti, you really did a fine job bringing out the colors on this one. The subject, itself, is a beauty. I do like the composition with the center offset but my eye constantly drift to the brightness of the far right petals. Nice job. |

Bob, really enjoy this image! The abstract of the lily creates so much depth. The colors are amazing and the swirly effect is really captures attention. I also notice that the is a distinct heart image toward the center which really makes it for me. My only suggestion is to crop in the left side a bit more to equalize the center of the image. Nicely done! |
