Kathryn, just love this. The double exposure works so well, especially with the hummer's wings. A layered background makes it what it is, a piece of art. All your work on the backgrounds has really paid off and the framing is makes it even better. Wonderful job. |

Kamal, really enjoy looking at your Lilly photo. Colors are gorgeous because the greens works so well with the pinks and purples. I do agree with some of the others that cropping could come in a bit, especially at the top. You may also consider just cropping to the one flower in the foreground. If your pixels will support it, it's a beautiful flower and really could hold its own by dominating an image. Well done. |

Doug, this is a very interesting effect. Very geometric! The colors themselves are gorgeous. Crazy what that lens can do. I do think that it would be much more powerful if the converging lines didn't bring my eye to a place that is not the center of the flower. Right now the lines bring me to a void in between the centers taking focus away from what I think you're trying to achieve. |

Nadia, another wonderful effort. I do like the painterly effect and the background turned out quite nice with colors that are very appropriate to the flower itself. And I do agree with Kathryn in that my eye seems to wander over the flower, never settling on a specific place, and I'm wondering if the center were more focused it would be more pleasing. Anyway, nice job. |

Jacob, this is one of your best efforts yet. The sunflower is gorgeous. The background and its greens set it off quite nicely, but what makes it for me is the fence line right below the flower that cuts the image in half. I love that crop. It's quite striking and you should be pretty proud of it. Nice capture and nice processing. |

Or a really ticked off bird. You took very little and turned it into something. Of course it's the symmetry that makes it, but the colors are gorgeous in the background nicely subdued. Post processing at its best. |
