Kathryn, once again your use of textures and technique really enhance the image. I don't know why, but for my eye the bee in the original is sharper than the finished product. It almost looks as if some of the texturing is on the bee, but that's an assumption. Overall, it's a beautiful image. Well done. |

Syed, wow, beautiful flowers! At first glance I thought this was an image that either suffered from motion blur or was out of focus until I noticed you used a painterly effect. Somehow it just doesn't work for me. My eyes keep straining to get it in focus. Plus the background is not blurred enough so my ey stays with the flowers. I'd love to see the image before the effect was used. Looks like there is potential here. |

Doug, really a beautiful subject and a nice job capturing it. Colors are wonderful especially with the light green backing the variety of oranges. I also do a lot of stacking and found that if I leave off the deeper focused stacks it can work wonders for an image. Also, like all macro images, not only does it magnify what is beautiful but also what the flaws are. My suggestion is to use the old erase tool and remove the dust specks found in various place on the blossom. Very nice job. |

Nadia, nice edit. Love the vibrancy of this and the levels of green to orange to brilliant pink in the petals. Also very sharp, especially at the center. As mentioned before, the only drawback is that one petal that seems to be cut off at its top. Really well done. |

Jacob, I do like this conversion, it's a great way to show off the lines and detail of the blossom. It seems to be a study in symmetry, to that end my only comment is it looks as if the image was not shot straight on (it looks slightly angled) and it would help the symmetry to have an exact viewpoint. Other than that - well done. |

Bob, I certainly like your final image, incredible what can be done with an image that would ordinarily be tossed or filed. The colors are gorgeous and the flower itself pops. And you have a nice leading line with the adjacent light tan stem. Good creative thinking! |
