This is just wonderful. The layers, colors and focus point make it. (I think the tonal quality is perfect). The eye glances over the entire image but is continually drawn back to the center. Really well done - a wall hanger for sure. |

Syed, it's great fun when you can see an image and capture it like you did. I love the colors and composition. I agree with others that the top portion can be reduced to bring more focus to the blooms. Nice job. |

Doug, I really like the abstract nature of this lilly. The sweeping curves are what attracts the viewer. I agree that adding some sharpening, especially to the edges would be helpful. Also, experiment by changing this to a monochrome image, it should accentuate the curves and could be quite striking. Nice job. |

Nadia, love the composition of this flower and the framing works very well. I'm always interested in the creator's choice of f-stop. On this one you chose as shallow a focus as possible allowing you to get that incredible bokeh. Just wondering if you experimented with higher f-stops to get more of the flower in focus or chose the f2.8 because you wanted the viewer to pay attention to the center of the blossom? Anyway, very well done. |

Jacob, you certainly achieved your goal, the rose stands out very nicely and the color is brilliant. The background is just the right amount of blurred. I do wish the flower itself was a bit sharper with more petal detail, but as you said it's an old image. Good job. |

Bob, that's a fun piece of creative photography. The colors are lush and work well together and the curves delightful. The "intact" flower lets the viewer in on the secret. I'm wondering if this would have more impact without the top left image? It seems to pull my eye away for the central theme. Nice job! |
