Mark, I just finished a worksop on street photography and your image would have fit right in. I do agree with many of the comments above, it's a bit tight especially above her head. You've captured a pensive look on her face as though she were waiting for something, that makes a good photo. On my screen the image is very soft, I don't know if that was just the way it was uploaded or how the original was. At the above mentioned workshop we discussed how ethical it is to shoot the downtrodden from afar. It's a subject we spent much time on, but the leader felt strongly that a photographer must engage the subject to humanely capture their image. I'm somewhere in the middle on it. Thanks for sharing! |

Sanat, I enjoy reading your descriptions so much, you should write a photo/travel book on India. You have successfully captured the bones of the temple and provided perspective with the human form included. Good sky replacement except for the cloud that seems to be in front of the tree. Well done, always something the learn with your images. |

Quang, you certainly have captured the ferocity of the storm as it affected the waters in the bay. Due to the fast shutter speed you were able to get the foam and spray at the right moment. The one thing I struggled with in viewing the image is that I can't interpret the size of the structure the wave is hitting, is it a water break, large pier, etc. Well done. |

Trey, you have a great way of capturing America's heartland. The tans and greens in big sweeping curves and the barn on the horizon make this special. Also, the clouds are amazing (Wish we had some in California!) My only suggestion is that my eye is spending too much time in the lower half of the image, I would try cropping up to where the mowed hay starts so the barn becomes more of a focus. Nice image. |

Charles, what a gorgeous landscape. Great job on catching a mirror-like reflection that really makes the image. The left and right shorelines point the way to the focal point mountain and wonderful cloud formations you were able to catch. My only suggestion would be to take down the saturation a bit, especially along the shoreline where the greens look a little unnatural. (At least to me.) Great job. |
