Sanat, really enjoy looking at this. Both Trey and Louis have made suggestions, but I prefer your take on the subject. It give me just enough information to feel the morning mist. I also like the cloud formation around the sun and the definition of the foliage. Anyway, just my take, well done. |

Trey, really a beautiful image. That sky is awesome and because it's so beautiful it steals the scene. As mentioned above, pulling out more of the highlights of the house, pond and the reflection would direct the viewer's eye to where they should be. I'm also in awe of your photographer fortitude on being somewhere that cold to take some photos. I'm too acclimatized to California! |

I hope you're not suggesting the Washington Monument is a withered as that cherry! Kidding, but as John mentioned there is a lot of room for interpretation here. The shot is lovely, especially the lighting on the monument and its reflection. The sky and lake colors are amazing also. My only hangup with the image is that the tree somewhat goes out of frame near the top, my eye just wants more of a complete picture, and I'm a little bothered with the cracked cement just in front of the trunk. Love DC, nice job. |

Geez, I want to be able to capture images as you do. This is stunning. It's all about lines, forms, and light. You framed the central building with another structure providing leading lines back to the main focus. I see why you went with monochrome, adds to the mystery and well as pulling the lines to the attention of the viewer. Very well done, I could look at this for days. |

Kelly, I love Sedona and you captured one of its treasures. The strata is well defined and I'll agree with you that the slight tilt gives it more perspective, at least from my eye. The trees towards the left side also provide a bit of a leading line to the main image. I also agree with Sanat, that for some reason the sky seems out of place and gives the image an unrealistic HDR sense. Other than that I find it to be quite enjoyable. |
