Wow. The ribbon of road is the perfect leading line into the lights and structures of the city. The buildings are beautifully detailed and there seems to be a bit of mist in the air which, I feel, adds to the atmosphere. And, just my taste, I like the first image you posted better than the last because the darkness around the road provides a great sense of mystery. Beautiful work. |

Trey, what I love are the layers! Great colors from the muted browns to bold greens and oranges. I too really enjoy the bottom "layer" with the soft white streak running through the browned grasses. You could almost do a panorama of just that! I was trying to think of a way to make it better and the only thing I could come up with is the maybe darken the oranges a bit so they separate a bit more from the green layer, but that's minor. Nice work. |

Sanat, what an incredible shot. At first I was mesmerized by the confluence, but then I began studying the surroundings which are intricate and detailed. What are the buildings used for? What the pavilion on the shore? So much to see! I also love the way the mist fills the valley beyond with a road winding up the hill. My only suggestion is that the lower left side of the image gains my attention and it's not very attractive, perhaps a dodge and burn darkening would be helpful here. Very nice and thanks for sharing! |

Quang, I really enjoy the feeling of serenity this image provides. It's warm and lush and I want to be there. The edits you made work very well and having the model in the frame makes it pop. My only question is the use of the large aperture for the shot, only because you have the lifeguard shack in perfect focus but the people on the shore are out of focus. Ordinary this would be fine, but the seagulls you added are in focus and seem further away than the beachgoers, which leads to some disorientation for the viewer. Anyway, it's lovely. |

What a wonderful ship with its sharp lines and billowing sails. Your touch ups worked well, and the flag looks realistic. The image really captures the majesty of these vessels. As I viewed the photo something seemed askew as if the ship was heading downhill. On closer inspection I think you just need to straighten the horizon to fix the issue. Thanks! |

John, this certainly cleaned up from the original! What a fascinating building caught in just the right light. Cruising the Mississippi is definitely on my bucket list. You also brought out a very nice sky, full of interest. My only suggestions would be to crop the top and bottom a bit since my eyes tended to wander away from the subject and perhaps run it through a sharpening program like Topaz. Thanks for sharing your image! |
