Although it is a pretty 'busy' image with all the branches , I do like the center reflection and the diagonal look. B&W is a perfect choice. |

I like the contrast of the foreground plant against the snow and the building in the background. And as you say, there really are two photos here. |

By diffuse, I meant make the background more out of focus. And I do like your new simplified background. Consider cropping a bit off his left side

I like the concept here but feel that the effect is a bit over done as it is hard to see enough of the original art. |

I prefer your third option but decided to add a reflected look somewhat as Mike Cowdrey has done as I thought the blank space needs to be filled. |
