8 Jul 23 Comment excellent photo. captures the color tones of the mist of Horseshoe Falls. I would crop out the green from the right. Was this photo taken from another maid of the mist boat? you have 50mm, wow, usually I don't dare to take my camera out in so much water. good work. Jul 10th

24 Jul 23 Reply Bev, I will definitely look at the photo. I do not have the skills to give technical feedback on photo editing. If you like, I can give you general feedback from somebody who loves photography as an art form. Jul 10th
24 Jul 23 Reply Same for me. Good idea Bev. Thanks a lot. Jul 10th
24 Jul 23 Comment Excellent photo and very good writeup on the thought process that produced this photo. Good work. Jul 6th
24 Jul 23 Comment Nice photo. Focus on the slightly softer side of that was the intention then it served the purpose. Love the colors , excellent photos. Jul 6th
24 Jul 23 Comment Excellent photo. Nice detail. Jul 6th
24 Jul 23 Comment Unless there is deliberate reason to make it little soft in this kind of images it helps to make them tack sharp. Some people use manual focus , some people prefer to use the combo of auto focus with software image sharpener.

I really like the colors of this beautiful rose. Nice work.

24 Jul 23 Comment Love the background and the flower combo. Each compliments the other. Nice photo. Jul 6th
24 Jul 23 Comment I prefer the original because of balck background that helps the flower to stand out as a direct contrast. For other backgrounds my personal feeling is that the flower needs to be much sharper.
Otherwise it is a very good photo.

48 Jul 23 Comment Nice Photo. Wanted to know the ISO, Shutter Speed, aperture and focal length. Catchlights are at 11 o'clock which is good.
The skin tones have been warmed up from the original, probably from purely aesthetic considerations. If the intent is to take non environmental portrait, then background needs to be cleaned up or have a nice bokeh. If the intent is to have street photography or environmental portrait photography, then background needs to be in focus. Given the cropping I would assume the intent is for portrait photography. Personally, I prefer to have sharper portrait photo and more skin details, then again other people like to have smoother skin. To me portrait photography is also about the catching the expression of the face. I like the expression it communicates.
