It's a great composition and wonderful editing. And, as an equestrian, I love the mural with the horses. I'm taking an online course with PSA on Image Analysis and one of the lessons talked about arranging your subjects left to right - mimics the way we read. If it wasn't for that, I'd question why folks suggested flipping the image. But even with that, I'm not sure I see any advantage to changing the direction. :) |

Thanks, Jose. I'm not sure if I'm looking at the same diagonal line, but I do see a leaf from a bush sprouting up over his left shoulder? I usually look for background elements that might appear to be "growing" out of some part of the subject, but in this case, that leaf is clearly part of the background so I didn't worry about it. The red element you see if a hummingbird feeder. :) |

The tint and fog seems to also make the details of the birds difficult to see, but the effect that Bob did seems to really have helped a lot. I color correct many of the photos I take. It's a huge benefit of Lightroom. :) |

Ever since my Dad came home with the first color TV (yes, I'm that old), I've never been able to appreciate B&W. But I agree that the shadow on that one gives nicer depth. :) |

I agree that it was hard to realize that these were two buildings - except for the overlap at the windows. This is a very clever composition of those two objects. |

Lovely photo. Is there a story behind these glasses? Jean Sibelius was a composer waaaay back. . . |

I have a DJI Osmo gimbal for my iPhone and, as an equestrian, I find that to be the easiest to take with me on rides. It's light and takes wonderful photos - even when the horse is doing a bouncy trot. I do have an ammo pouch that I put the phone and gimbal in that fastens nicely on my hip. But I wrote "Camera" in big letters on the bag for those who might recognize what it normally holds. :) |

Thanks for the nice words, Belinda. Im taking a course here that talks about "breaking the rules" - once you understand why the rule exists int he first place. I usually try to avoid cropping out parts of a person but, in this case, I actually did that crop of the hat intentionally. :) |

Thanks Bob. I did try adding a dark vignette and it succeeded in both making the image better as well as taking out that bright object. |
