Hi Kirsti, what an interesting image. The warm red color of the bridge is very welcoming, and then I see the white shoes without a person. The story unfolds slowly as the leading lines draw me across the bridge into the town. The town and the trees appear cold in an intriguing contrast with the warmth of the bridge. Just a little comment, would it help to darken some of the bright lights in the town?

Hi Jeri, the title describes it perfectly. We are drawn to the warm center, and it radiates out from there. The flower fills the frame and diffuses softly towards the edges. The colors are beautiful. Good job. Regards, Billy |

Hi Rick, good job on the portrait of the lily. My first impression is the excellent sharpness throughout the depth of the lily, from the tips of the stamens to the rearmost petals. Your exposure shows detail and texture in the white petals. The yellow color blends beautifully and contrasts well with the reddish-brown flecks. The background may be a little bit distracting, perhaps a vignette would help.

Hi Joan, I really like this landscape photo. The bright snow catches my eye as I wander from left to right. Then I drop down and see the detail in the foreground before going back up to the mountain and the sky. The image is very sharp, and I think it was a good idea to convert it to black and white, it really helps with the crispness and contrast.

Hi Kirsti, I followed your recommendations and cloned out the player at third base. It opens up the picture and leaves space for the ball. It also complies with the rule of odds, now we have the catcher, the batter, and the coach. The focus is more clearly on the action. I also like the previous version because the player on third base adds to the story, she is sprinting to home base and is about to score a run for her team. Thank you for your helpful suggestions. Regards, Billy |
