Hi Kirsti, I like the bright colorful image which fills the frame. It creates the impression of the world. It was a good idea to change the background, it keeps the focus on the globe and the circular blur makes it look as if the globe is in motion. The brighter, more intense colors are an important feature of the overall image. Well done!

Hi Jeri, what a wonderful way to take advantage of the environmental conditions. Heavy fog is usually very limiting but you saw how it created this opportunity. The web is in sharp focus with specular highlights, while the wide aperture and fog gave us this beautiful soft background with the graduation of color and light. I agree that this crop is much better than a square one. Good job.

Hi Rick, you certainly achieved your objective of creating a "painting". This is a wonderful combination of photography, painting, and blending the background of leaves. The eyes grabbed my attention, then I wandered around the image and enjoyed the contrasting colors and soft textures. The framing is a nice touch. Thank you for showing us a different way to see.

Hi Joan, your photograph makes a strong first impression. I think this is really helped by converting it to black and white which complements the age of the train. Also, it was a good decision to wait until the workers were present, they make the image much more dynamic than a shot of just the stationary train. All your post processing had a major impact. Good job.
