Thank you Joan. I will try cropping the left hand side as you suggest. |

Hi Kristi, you are right that the tighter crop increases the concentration on the moment. However, I think the father's protective arm is an important part of the story, so I am leaning towards the original framing.
Thanks for your comments |

Hi Kirsti, another example of your good imagination and the ability to see a picture within a picture. The bright diagonals lead our eye to hunter who appears to be looking through long grass for his prey. The yellow color gives the appearance of sunset. I like the texture from the wood. |

Hi Rick,
The flower is beautiful. I like the color and great depth of field, the petals are sharp from tip to base. This is a good contrast with the soft background and my eye is drawn to the center of the flower. The flower is in the center of the image, but it works because it fills so much of the frame. Good job |

Hi Linda, the image has immediate impact, it is clean, simple and the red color is very strong. You are a good graphic artist. Her blue hat complements the red color and her face is sharp and well lit.
I think there may be too much door on the left hand side so I cropped it and also darkened the bright area beside her head. What do you think? |

I really like the color, it gives a serene appearance to the image. I agree with Rick, the small shrubs balance the scene. I like how the diagonals lead my eye from the foreground and finally end up with the dunes in the distance. It's unfortunate that the judge did not accept the image. Perhaps you could photograph the print as a way to get it into digital format. Nice photo. |
