I feel like I could reach out and stroke this cute baby. It looks so relaxed and unaware that you are nearby. I like how you got the texture of its coat.
Here on my half of Florida, as well as my place in Maryland, we are in a terrible drought. Our grass and fields are brown, the ponds are drying up, and they just keep on building and building more homes. I dread the future also. |

Well, we have convinced you to become a wildlife photographer. Welcome. I like that you were able to get all the birds in focus. I learned the hard was last month that I need to turn off the car when shooting from it. I had a great eagle shot but I left the motor running and the bird was all blurry. If you took this photo in RAW, it should be easy to make some of the changes the others have mentioned and see what the result would be. |

Another winning photo, Gwen. You hit the jackpot with two babies here. It tells a story, provides emotions, and gives a nice warm feeling. Cleaning up background is always a hard call. Some competitions are ok with it, and others are not and ask for a raw photo if a big prize is likely.
I hope to get to Orlando wetlands the end of April so I hope some birds stay around. |

You captured the colors of Antarctica with this photo. it gives a very nice reflection in the waters. I certainly don't mean this as a criticism, but the photo also illustrates how hard it is to capture the landscape and ice in a single shot. I had the same experience when I went, and I don't think I had a wide angle lens with me. The mountains and glaciers and waters are breathtaking and you were lucky to see it before its no longer there. |

You caught beautiful details on this bird. Nature gives birds wonderful colors during mating season. I love the blue and the yellow puffs. We are all getting an international education here. |

From looking at this photo, I never would have thought that you were so far away, or it was so tiny when you viewed it. I think the rain added to the image, especially as the bird fluffed itself up.
Were the pixels you added generative expand, or something else? |
