This is such a healthy young butterfly. When I see the Swallowtails in Maryland now, they are often pretty ragged. The colors are bright and the bit of yellow in the vegetation fit right in with the butterfly's coloring. Frame this one. |

Once again I am envious of your living in the west which is my favorite part of the country. This is a beautiful capture. What would it look like if you turned it into a black and white photo? Might be fun to play with. |

I have seen photos of these monkeys before, and I am always amazed at how human-like their teeth are. They are straighter than mine. I have no clue if they are aggressive to humans, but its a good thing you were in a boat. Nice catch of behavior and interaction. |

Coming late to the game, but I agree with the others. You caught a hard to catch bird. The Z8 advanced bird eye-detection autofocus ability worked well ( was this enabled on your comera?). How were you stationed on the ground to get the shot. Its very well done. |

I never see hummers anywhere, so yours are always a treat. I love the shimmer of color. I also agree with John that the stem and leaf don't add much to the photo, so I would suggest taking them out. |
