You are correct about looking down. I was on a boardwalk above the water and could not get the shot between the slats. I also think I would not have achieved the circle look if I had been on the same level more or less as the grebe. |

Nice wildlife! I have never seen one in the wild before. I like how the duckweed clings to his fur and creates a beautiful texture and the sun makes him glisten. Such long toes, he looks more ratlike. His mother thinks he's beautiful. |

I think your choice of lens is perfect for this group. My big lens would only get one, or part of one. Their colors and the color of the field is quite lovely. I really like seeing the birds in their field environment. Unfortunately, the State of Florida is doing little or nothing to protect the Sandhill Crane population and their habitat.
The "tweaks" you made, was this in-camera editing, or an editing program?

Another bird on my "not yet seen list". Such a nice composition framed by the branches, but clean in the direct background. The color of the background makes his oranges and reds glow. He is looking at you and thanking you for such a nice photo. |

Well, I don't want one for a pet; however you did a terrific job of capturing the Lizards. The two are mirror images and make for a nice composition. With their mouths open, the viewer can sense how alive they are. Seeing them on the brick colored ground, you can tell how their colors adapt to the environment. |

Another magnificent bird. His colors are so beautiful and they make the photo. I think the fact that his colors are different from the background, and blurring the background a bit, helps it really stand out. That's just the way the birds fly. Out of our control. |

This is a beautiful photo of a spectacular appearing bird. It makes our colorful birds here look rather dim. You have him placed nicely in the photo. His or hers greens are so colorful. I would like to see if the bird stands out even more if you were to desaturate the background greens and yellows a bit. Either way its beautiful. |
