How lucky to live somewhere that beautiful animals walk thru your yard. In the past when I lived on a farm, before my current life, the foxes were beautiful but a PITA around the ducks, chickens, and kittens.
Now they rarely show up, and I don't see them often.
I like very much how this was shot in the snow and his colors show up so nicely. He looks quite healthy too. His eye looks like he's aware of you and the camera. |

I actually like the colors and the grain. The grain gives it an outdoor Western mountain look, where things are not smooth and polished. I took a shot my one and only time there from the Tunnel overlook, on a sunny late afternoon, when I was just beginning to do photography. It just looks like a post card. Yours has the feel of ruggedness. |

Thanks. My intention was not to put the focus on the bird, but to show how it blended into the surroundings. That's why I didn't crop it.
Most of the time the little Green Herons are not lost in the ponds, so this was a bit different. Here's one eating. |

I just learned from you how to put a catch light into the eye! Its a nice detailed picture of the bird. We have a lot of them here in Florida. I never noticed them up north. |

That is one big squirrel. You did capture the best part of him. I like how the colors blend and how his front parts are in such good focus as well as the rest of him. I will look forward to seeing more India wildlife from you. |

I agree, terrific. I don't ever get to see many hummers, nor did I have a camera when I went to CR in 1995, so I love seeing yours.
I am impressed with the DOF in this photo at f/5.6. It's just a small area for focus and you captured the important components. |

This is beautiful. I also submitted a similar one I took this month. I love the look of black and gold and the sharp outline of your bird greeting the sun. Very well done. |
