I like the composition of this photo. I am guessing that you cropped it in. The focus on the bird is stunning. The flower lends just the right amount of environment. |

You have so many different photo ops in New Mexico, one of my favorite places. I find that my husband's Samsung photo takes better photos than my Iphone 13. Maybe they are just more saturated, but we always like them better.
I love storm photos and the movement in these clouds is so, for me, unusual. I think the way you have it cropped shows off the patterns perfectly. |

I like the first (unprocessed) one better. Shows the bird actually eating which is always unique to see. I would crop whatever gives you the best view of the shadow and the bird, with a bit of head room. I would clone out the lichen, and try more contrast on the bird and shadow, or darken the trees, to get the bird to pop out more. Nice capture, I don't usually see much at Six Mile Cypress Slough. |

This is a beautiful capture of the hummingbird. I rarely see them. When I zoom in the photo, it gives a more cropped look. I think your photo would look good and show off the bird a bit more with a tighter crop. |

The difference between the photos of your two birds gives a good illustration of the impact of the different shutter speeds. Your primary shot has much more of the feathers and textures in focus that the secondary shot.
I agree that the clouds lend location to the overall picture. You have more patience with small birds than I do. |
