i agree with the others. this is a beautiful bird. It is hard to know what you were able to do in terms of moving about. Sometimes we have to work with what we have. I agree with a bit of sky replacement or working with the blue tones to make the sky less of a glare. Or just crop it in tighter. |

I have never seen one in nature. i have to agree with the others about a tighter crop. The yellowish green of some of the pine needles detracts from the yellow of the beautiful bird. |

This is beautiful. Love the sharpness and the details. I would not do anything different to it. |

I love this. It looks like a painting. That camera and lens are a nice combination and you did a great job with composition. |

This is beautiful and crisp and clear. I have never seen one in person. Your shutter speed was perfect for getting this walking bird in such sharp focus. Do you shoot in high speed burst? I find it helps but sometimes the shutter noise of the D500 scares the birds off. |

Aren't these guys fun to shoot. I do love his expression. I like the yellow eye owls better than the black eye ones, they have some more color to add. The only thing I have to suggest to what the others said is i might have tried warming up the temperature tone a bit to add some warmth. But that's just my taste. |
