I too like the painting effect and the close-up that captures the captivating expression. I find the yellow on the arm is too bright. Overall a nice portrait. |

A unique blend of mystery and creativity. The golden mask adds to the mystery and changing the purple color of the ball is a good idea. But I wonder if the sharp-edged flat red moon could not be softened a bit at the edges. You may consider cropping the bottom of the image which is flat and black. |

A perfect winter scene beautifully captured.... the pastel like colors are gorgeous unlike most winter outdoors whitewashed by flat white show. The icicles add a special charm. It makes me nostalgic about my Michigan days. Can't think of anything to make it better. |

Just love this excellent macro shot--- the colors are very soothing and yet the image is razor sharp. Consider cropping the image a bit and if possible rotate it a bit diagonally to break the stem leaning a bit...the 90-degree placement of the stem in the middle adds a bit of rigidity in the otherwise beautiful image. |

A very nice night shot; the colors and brightness os the scene are well balanced which is not always possible, and the scene is well composed. A peaceful scene indeed. I found the cone-shaped roof (the midsection) is a bit dark so I used the Viveza filter to brighten the mid-segment; and while at it darkened the building at the back that was competing for attention with the main structure. I find Viveza is a useful filter for localized control of brightness, contrast, and color of an image without changing rest of the image. |

Alastair:
This image is beautiful and mystical.... it has a deep spiritual effect on me .... as if the last leaf still hangs on for a mysterious reason of its own. It reminded me of O'Henry's famous short story "The Last Leaf" (link below for easy access in case you have missed it"). I have only one minor suggestion; crop off from top and right and bring the leaf on the top=right crush point.... just a personal thought.
