It's easiest and best to start with "tabletop" phantograms. Your subjects must visually fit on the target rectangle, so subjects that are tall and narrow aren't very good.
Household objects such as light bulbs, fruit, vegetables, intricate objects, all kinds of things can be fun. For the sake of making good anaglpyh images, avoid things with red, pink, orange or cyan except in small doses.
Bowls or cups can make good example image, in that you can then print the phantogram at put things onto it and it'll seem they're in those bowls or cups. |

If you have any questions please ask. I've got tutorials on the website for my most recent book Macrophant 3D (a book of macro phantograms). Tutorial links at http://macrophant3d.com

In fact the nature of a phantograms isn't that everything pops above the window (negative parallax), but it also accurately reflects what's below the window too (positive parallax). I've produced phantograms of a footstep in sand and also of a dinosaur footprint, both of these sinking into the page. With those images a fun element is to turn them upside down, and the footprint inverses to rise above the page. I'll show one of those next month. |

good depth. i think i'd want to extend at the top to show a bit more of the sky in the background, and perhaps add a little more contrast |

good stereo image. only thing i'd look to improve is to isolate and sharpen the white sky background at the left. |
