Thanks Josh. I like the idea of cropping off the right side! |

Josh,
The composition is really good, getting that one skyscraper (Empire State building?) perfectly aligned down one of the streets. Well done! i also really like the quality of light. Seems like you caught it at the blue hour, so you got that color, plus the building lights. You left just enough room at the top to fully include the tallest building without it bumping into the edge of the frame. All very well done! My only suggestion for improvement would be to take it into LRC's transform tool to straighten out some of the building lines. |

Craig,
The original picture is interesting, but pulling it into PS and using the twirl filter make this shot a whole lot more fun! The eye just wants to chase those twirls around and around. You also improved the contrast the the vibrance of the greens and yellows! Great job. My only suggestion for improvement would be to try cropping it a bit to eliminate the bends so that you have nothing but swirls. Not sure if that would work. |

Thanks Larry. That's what I had hoped people's reaction might be. |

Thanks butch. That's was the other problem - what is that big animal? The action and the water drops disguise the face. |

Cindy, I like you version of the shot with a lighter background. I think it helps make the bear stand out. thanks. |

Bud,
Gotta have a big horn sheep in your portfolio! You nailed that! The crop is well done, eliminating the shappy backside of the animal and the rear end of the otehr animal. You have great sharpness on the eye, horn and fur! Well done! No suggestions for improvement. |

Butch,
This is a terrific shot! The milky way is well positionned between the cacti! I love the light on the clouds. Great job in light painting the desert foreground! About all I have as a suggested improvement would be to crop about 10% off the bottom. Beautiful job! |

Larry,
Great capture! Those little fuzzballs are definitely cute! At first all I saw was the bird on top, but as I looked at them I realized that there were two birds. So the only pproblem I see here is one of merging the two birds. i cannot tell where one leaves off and the other one begins. |

Cindy,
I agree with Butch! Not easy to make hyenas look cute, but there you have it! I think that the crop was spot on. you got rid of a lot of a lot of brush that was not needed. Good job. My only suggestion for improvement would be to clone out those branches going across the bodies of the two animals. |
