Alan,
That's wonderful that your camera club has stepped up to record city events. This image certainly services that purpose. You have the mayor looking pretty much at you and you have a group of constituents on hand. I agree with Mark that you might consider cropping in a little from the left and right to eliminate partial people. Another thought is that the podium that the mayor is behind has some writing on it, but it is only partially visible. I'd suggest getting in a better position to get the whole text in the image. |

Mark,
I've struggle to get images like this of glass blowers in action. It's not easy, so bravo to you for taking a shot at it! I love the arm of the worker and the glass being worked. I agree with Alan that you might consider cropping out the right side. You might also clone out the bright spot (a furnace?) to the right of the worker's hand. It's distracting. |

Craig,
I see where you were going with this. It does look like the stage for a play! I really like the soft light coming in from the left bathing the brick wall in a warm yellow. With that as the backdrop, the central graffiti jumps out at me. The stairway to the right and top draw my eye away from the graffiti making the picture seem too busy to my eye. I think you want the viewer to rest on the graffiti, not going up the stairs to the top. |

Bud, as others have commented it is hard to get a good shot of little birds. They seek the protection of the undergrowth. My best shots are when they visit my backyard feeder, but of course I don't want the feeder in the image so I wait until they land on a nearby branch. I like the further cropping idea to eliminate some of the brush. I'd use lrc masks to darken and blur the background. I think I'd use a brush to open up the shadows on the bird on the right. Great effort on a tough subject! |

Butch, great portrait of this big cat! Love the framing that the tree provides. I agree with Larry's suggestions about adding some cath light to the eyes and a slight crop off the top. I'm really impressed with the angle of the shot. How did you get on eye level with a leopard up in a tree? |

Larry, incredible moment. Very sharp. Love that you have the croc's eye so sharp. Suggest that you tone down the bright spots around the edge of the frame a vignette might do the trick! |

Cindy,
Great shot under difficult circumstances (on a boat, hand held)! The crop is great, getting rid of all of that stuff on the right. Lve that the cat is looking right at you! You might consider darkening everything around the cat to get the cat to jump out of the background a bit more. Perhaps using a radial mask in LRC around the cat? Give it a try. |

Susan,
Nive capture of this eagle. I really like what you did with the background clouds. The clouds are roughly the same angle as the bird's flight! Nice! You opened up the shadows on the bird very well. My only concern is that the sharpness of the bird n eeds to be improved. Try Topaz Sharpen AI. |

My wife and I visited Wimean Canyon a year ago! It's a terrific location! It was smart of you to take a number of images and create a pano! It allwed you to get ome more clouds into the image. i think the people on the right add to the image, showing us the enormous scale of the canyon! I thought you did a great job in post processing, but the tips larry offered are worth considering. |

Thanks for your kind words butch! I like what you did by flipping it. I also like the edge. The edge works on screen really well to show the edge of the image when it has a black background. Not so good when you go to print it. |
