What an unusual image! Makes you stop and look more than once for sure. Since the subject is the skull and antlers, the background is too distracting. This could be solved if the f stop was wider open at say f5.6 or 4.0. That would throw the background into a softer blur. |

Sylvia, thanks for your kind words on my picture. By lr sliders I meant the sliders that are under the basic tab in Lightroom. It includes things like highlights, shadows, white, black, texture, clarity. I did not create a stack. |

Alan, thanks for your comments. Yes, I wanted the tree to act as kind of an anchor for the image and then let you eye enjoy the poppies. Still not sure it works! |

Interesting subject. I'm not sure what you want me to look at. My eye keeps bouncing all around the image. You probably don't want me looking at the goose in the lower right corner, but my eye lands there because it is so bright. I'm not sure what to make of the dark splotches on the building. Is that vegetation? The stick in the middle bottom looks like it might be a leading line, but I'm not sure where it is leading me. |

Richard, this is a terrific shot! You did a great job in post processing to bring out the bear and redue the really bright spots all around him! Can't believe you got detail in the pine needles just below the bear. Great job! |

What a terrific shot, Larry! The eyes and the front edge of the wings are very sharp! The talons are less so, but that's not the point! The eyes are sharp! Like you I love the angle of the wings. It has a very dynamic feel to it. The bird is soaring! Great background! Very soft! |

Jason, The juxtaposition of the center of the flower and the spider is great! Several suggestions: The image is a bit noisy. This is probably because you shot it at 2000ISO. Suggest you use either the denoise function in LRC or in Topaz Denoise. When using a macro lens and getting real close to small objects the DOF gets very narrow very quickly. So in this shot the center of the flower, some of the stamens and the front half of the spider are pretty sharp, but the rest is soft. I think I wouod have liked to have seen much more of it be sharp. |

I think this is a very cool shot! What I like about it is that the group of fish all resemble the outline of a large fish. You have emphasized this by either putting a shadow around the the school of fish or perhaps it was already there. Normally we might ping you for allowing some of the individual fish to merge with the images of other fish in the school, but to me the overall impression is far more important than the individual fish. |

I agree witrh you Larry. The only change I plan to make is to eliminate the lens flare. Thanks. |

Thanks Richard. I always have to tell myself to find appropriate foreground for my landscapes. Hard to do when you see a spectacular sunrise! |

Thanks for confirming that I got the tonality right. Only when I saw it again did I see the lens flare on the left side. Thanks for pointing it out. Easy to fix! |
