I'm ready to go back.
The weather changes so quickly there. Fortunately, I was able to get some clear sky images as well as a sequence of
off-and-on shadowed hilly landscape as the clouds moved over them making for an interesting sequence light/dark.
I'm considering posting that sequence for next month. |

Thanks for your comments, Jaqueline. Not many people can claim to have been to this park, despite its popularity among "Trekkers", because of its remoteness.
The photo opportunities there were limitless, but we had to deal with overcast skies much of the time we were in the park. Consequently, we didn't see the 3 Torres ("towers") while we were in the park - but did see them from a distance as we approached the park, but, not the same. |

I still prefer the color over the BW. |

Martin,
I generally love our local Photo Club outings for the often-unique opportunities they present. Often, we can get special access where most others cannot go.
You've done a wonderful capture of this event.
GREAT job with the editing!
Like Piers, I feel that the crop is a bit too tight on both the top and bottom, and would give the horse and rider a bit more room to breathe.

Jaqueline,
What fun.
Your intent was, likely, not to hang a print of this image on your wall, but I'm certain that you learned a few things about showing motion in an image.
You're right that the crop was important. well done.
With the 1/30 sec exposure time, was your camera on a tripod when shooting this? The signage on the fence is reasonably sharp. |

Piers,
Well done with you wonderfully lit subject.
Your editing worked very well, and with fellow members suggestions, has resulted in a great, up close, study of the squirrel doing what all squirrels do.
Well done. |

Shirley, You're a woman after my own heart. This image is one that I could have envisioned and taken. I like it a great deal.
The diagonals of the dune and grasses and the main structure are strong. The composition makes me want to peek over the crest of the dune to see the ocean - just out of view.
As both Martin and Piers have noted, I too, think that the dehaze slider should be brought down just a bit to lessen the intensity of the blue(s). and bring up the shadows in the grasses to the left of center.
Well done! |
