Thank you for your comments, Jaqueline. Since I'm generally a vistor while I'm in St Augustine, I don't know of anyone with a classic car, but its a great idea. |

Martin,
Your photo editing skills are much more advanced than mine. Thank your for your efforts at removing the traffic signal post/arm. |

Martin,
At first glance, this looks like it could be a poster child image for Global Warming. The ominous clouds are mirroring the dark smoke (we know that it is steam) that might have contributed to them being that ominous.
Great story. Great edits. I'm envious of your editing skills. |

My first, immediate impression of this image was a WOW. I could picture that hanging on a wall. What fun, being able to play around with an image an produce results like this. Well done. I like the effect that the two main elements have a thin black outline to separate them from the other components. It's certainly inspiration for me to try my hand at this type of editing.
Well done. |

Karen,
Wonderful composition and reflection. Very calm and soothing. This looks like an image I would certainly make if given the chance.
The 3 layers gives the eye lots to look at. I like the replaced sky - it gives the image much more character that the original.
Given the extreme distance covered in a single frame, I feel that the foreground framing-trees are blurry enough that photo-stacking could help to get the near branches in sharp focus. I'm learning that im my own images making.

This does have a comedic look to it. I love the other comments about that.
I agree with others that cropping to eliminate the unnecessary brightness at the top would benefit this image, as well as being able to see the end of the 3rd rifle. |

Masterful edits, Shirley.
The HDR and other filters creates a texture that matches the heyday of the era of this magnificent machine. |

Amazing editing work, Piers. Great subject to work with.
Like others have pointed out, there seens to be a disconnect between the Osprey and the background. The latest background has produced a hazy glow around the bird and branch. |

Karen, We have a very good friend who lives in St Augustine, so we are down there regularly. Actually, we were just there last Saturday on our way down to Ft Myers where we just bought a house. Am in Ft Myers now getting the house liveable. We'll be snowbirds for a while.
I do like St Augustine very much. Great photo opportunities wherever you go. But, I was just down in the historic district of Ft Myers last evening, and there are some interesting photo opportunities down there, too, albeit very small.
Thank you for your comments. I was just trying something new. I realize the image itself has issues - especially with the traffic light post and arm. I'm not good at Photoshopping those types of things out, so I'll try again in the future to report the scene for a better image. |
