We were shooting in the cloud forest of Panama, close to the border with Costa Rica. We were setting up to photograph hummingbirds when a guide noticed this Eagle perched about 200 years away...we moved as quickly and silently as we could to this location; about 20 seconds after I arrived, the eagle decided to briefly fly to change positions on this branch; I was fortunate to capture her just as she was landing. |

Great job of taking a scene that might appear otherwise appear ordinary and framing it so that it becomes compelling.
Nice details on the plants... |

Really appreciate seeing some landscapes in our group!
Leslie covered everything that I would have made a comment about... |

Motmots are beautiful birds with a funny name! I'd also be curious to know where you photographed this bird. |

Just about the best one can do with a hummingbird without a flash setup :).
My personal preference would be to reduce the shadow on the bird's body even more, but I realize that I tend to like photos lighter and more shadow-free than most. |
