Nice plant. nice butterfly, nice shot.
Echoing what everyone else said about the qualities of this photo.
One tiny nit-picking comment; to my eyes, the red at the bottom left corner of the photo is distracting to my eye; perhaps you could crop a wee bit tighter, or use software to remove the red and make it green like most of the rest of the plant.
Just my opinion... |

John...I'm not sure that I'm qualified to critique landscapes.
While the arch is very prominent, for my eyes there are a lot of distracting elements in the photo.
As Sherry suggested, perhaps different processing might make his more to your liking.
I'm not trying to be negative, as I said, I'm not really qualified to pass judgement on this kind of photo :). |

When were you in the Galapagos, Sarita?
I was there September 2023.
These are great birds, aren't they? I got a similar shot while I was there.
I agree with Sherry about trying to remove some of the branches...otherwise a good look at this bird! |

Very sharp, very detailed, nice capture!
Hard to get the entire bird illuminated evenly with the light coming from the bird's left, but other than the shadow on the upper half of the bird's right wing, you nailed it.

Thanks for your feedback, Leslie.
By "lighten it up a bit" do you mean the entire body of the animal?
I was trying to duplicate as close as possible the light I saw it in, but perhaps that's not the correct choice? |
