Thanks for your kind words, Sherry! I really like this photo too...but since sometimes we can't be entirely objective about our own work, it's great to have the feedback of peers :). |

Hi John:
I'm curious; what would you consider as the focal point in this shot? The trees in the foreground? The spaces between the trees toward the background? Or do you consider it to be more of an abstract shot?
This is not a criticism; I'm just interested in learning more about what your goal was for this photo...thanks! :) |

Great opportunity to get a shot of this animal in the wild.
I like how the eyes are clearly visible! |

If it were my shot I'd hope for a better head angle on the bird, but perfect other than that.
What is the "Enhance" editing feature in LR? Is it a preset? I'm not familiar with it. |

Interesting shot with several different elements.
I'm going to have to learn how to do a "subject mask" in LR or Photoshop...I'm a neophyte when it comes to masking :) |

Great photo. Burrowing Owls are great!
Only one suggestion...it appears to me that the photo is cropped very closely on the bottom, which almost cuts off the poor owl's feet...this is particularly noticeable given the large amount of room over the bird's head. |
