David, this is a nice abstract. I was trying to understand where they grow pink grass. I like the concept and what you were trying to do. Since you were in Photoshop, I might have put a Gaussian blur on the pink layer to soften that even more. I would also add a layer mask and take a large brush with a broad feather to soften the lines around the seed-head. Overall, it's a great concept and an attractive color combination. I like it. |

Hello Scott - I like your image a lot. The egret is sharp and the feathers show great detail. I like the rock and the clarity in the water. My only suggestion would be to crop and tighten to bring greater emphasis on the bird, water, and rock. I took the liberty of fooling around with it to give you an example of what I am talking about. |

Butch, this is a classic shot to hang on a wall! I know what you mean about 100 photographer jeeps hanging out. I hated that aspect of the trip. I was not as fortunate as you in witnessing large crossings. Your much lower bank enabled more wildebeests to get to the river at one time. This one takes my breath away! I'm speechless. |

Larry - great shot of two beautiful birds exhibiting terrific examples of mating behavior. The male's primary feathers are tack sharp and prominently displayed. The expression on the female's face tells the whole story. He will have to look elsewhere for a date today! |

Wow, Cindy! This may be your best capture yet! I love the action and the aperture sets the focal zone perfectly. It's also a bird and a bug I've never seen before. Beautiful!

Jenny - This is a lovely capture and so appropriate to the season. I love the detail in the bird and the falling snowflakes. The bare branches are distracting to me, but I would probably have left them in, too, because they define the season. The bird working, with the inside of the hole so clearly defined, is excellent. Nice job!. |
