67 Nov 25 Comment David - this is one of your best shots! You did a great job eliminating the flies. I always felt sorry for the lions with the flies constantly attacking them. The backlighting on the mane is special, making the image stand out. Nov 22nd
67 Nov 25 Comment Butch: A great example of backlighting. I would love to use it in the photography class I teach. It's a good example of perspective as well. Nicely done! Nov 22nd
67 Nov 25 Comment Hi Cindy, I agree that the first image is the most interesting, as is your description. I like everything you did in post-processing. You took out the distractions and captured the dusting. I always love your photos!

67 Nov 25 Comment Jenny: Welcome and wow! What Butch was right about a ringer. I can't wait to see more of your work. If it's anything like this photo, it will be stunning. Nov 20th
67 Nov 25 Comment Hi Larry: I agree with Cindy on the branches. Otherwise, it's simply a bird on a stick.
I like the capture. The Osprey always eats the head first. So do eagles and grizzlies. Must be extra high protein in the brain.
Your image faces the same noise challenge mine have with a clear blue sky for a background. I'm not sure if that's noise or light bleed. It does not detract from the quality of your capture. The viewer still focuses on the bird, which is delightful.
