Hi Scott, welcome to the group! Everything has been said. A nice first effort. Everybody here keeps us on our toes and does so in a kind way. We all learn from each other, with Larry as the grand professor. |

Hi David -this is a great photo. I do a lot of bear photography, and you caught this one just right. Your post-processing was right on. It's unique to see the bear with this kind of activity, because usually they just hold the fish down and bite the head off. I like the way you preserved the details of both the bear and the fish while displaying the vigorous motion at play. Terrific shot! |

Beautiful image, Butch! I'm jealous that you were able to capture such a thing at 7:45 PM. One of the reasons I don't do Milky Way photography is that I have to stay up past my bedtime. I think the way the clouds caught the last rays of the sun adds a lot to the picture. I would hang this one on the wall. |

Nice image of a couple of small clowns. Herons, egrets, and woodstorks do not have the most attractive chicks, but watching any small being in their early days is always fun. Catching these two without the mom around was a good trick. |

Hi Cindy, I always felt sorry for the hyenas in Africa. They seemed to be the third-class citizens in the animal world, even though they play a critical role in the ecosystem. The ones I observed seemed to be always wallowing in the mud, or tugging scraps off bones left by a lion kill. Your photo is great because you got an image of the two cubs looking warm and fluffy. At first, I was distracted by the branch in the picture, but when I came to realize it was an object of their play, it all made sense to me. |
