Hello Butch - Like Larry, in following your story, I had a mental picture of you stumbling through the cacti and frantically shooting from the ground.
Personally, I don't care much for the cactus. For me, its brightness detracts from the beautiful rainbow and crepuscular rays. It draws my eyes away from what I believe should've been the primary focus of the shot. That rainbow emanating from the top of the butte with the rays below remind me of a colored wheel for sure. |

Hi Larry - I am very embarrassed. I have been so busy doing things other than photography that this month's submission slipped my mind. I'm getting ready to go on a 10-day trip to Southeast Alaska, and I have humpbacks and orcas on my brain.
I love this picture. It is definitely a comedy shot. It appears the buck has stumbled over its own feet and is falling on its face. That's not something one would see every day. Very nice capture. |

Cindy -
Great shot! These are fantastic birds. I got several shots when I was in Africa. However, they were in low light at a great distance and did not turn out. I'm envious. |
