David, you finally made the Badlands look nice. I love all of the shapes, angles, and shadows you've been able to bring out in your shot. Considering the darkness of the original, you have exposed hidden colors and textures that you probably saw with your eyes but that your original image did not disclose. I like this picture the best of what you've posted in recent months. |

Hi Butch, welcome to the group from another naval aviator. I admit I had to look at your image many times. And initially, I questioned the diagonal horizon. But as I kept returning to it, I realized that dunes are never straight. I like the lines leading to the plant, the plant's lines leading to the sky, and the dune's top line leading to the lightening in the sky. The colors in the sky are terrific. The bottom line is, after studying it for a while as I would in a studio, I asked myself the final question: would I hang it on my wall? And the answer is unequivocally yes. |

Hi Larry, that is quite an interaction. I have numerous photos of Wood Storks from the Wakodahatchee Wetlands. During the mating season, they are really aggressive. Their lovemaking techniques made me pity the females. When I first saw your photo, I thought that's what your Wood Stork had in mind for the Great Blue Heron. I enjoyed the image and the GBH "beating feet" to escape.
All right no no no |

Susan, you are learning every month. I enjoy seeing your progress. You are really improving with each image. This is a challenging shot and one that you could've had more fun with in post-processing. But you've learned a lot by posting here. I sent your frustration with Photoshop, and I can understand it. It's not an easy program. I find that Lightroom Classic now has almost all the features of Photoshop and is easier to use. If you combine that with Topaz, there's virtually nothing you cannot do. Don't be afraid to reach out when you have image processing problems. We are all still Learning here, and we are all available to help. |

Michael, once more, you brought in a bird I have never seen before. I am amazed you recovered such detail from a dark and distant original. Yes, there are problems with the sky. So what! It's still a stunning image. Good for you. |

Cindy, this is a gorgeous photo. I love snowy egrets, and you captured this one beautifully. I love the feather detail and the backlighting. You should be teaching photography classes!
