Hi David, I was with a very small photography group, working with a Canadian wildlife specialist who acts as a wild game spotter for Canadian broadcast TV, BBC, nature films, etc. He scouted the area before we arrived and discovered where this lady liked to hunt voles and field mice. |

I agree with Larry. A little earlier in the day with a little less sky, and you will have it nailed! |

Another haunting image I would love to see printed on metal and hanging on a wall. This would stop viewers in their tracks! |

It took me quite a while to gaze at this photo to get it. I love the blue ice of the berg. The sea motion created difficulty in aligning the Petrel to the notch in the berg. The only thing that bothered me (beyond your control) was the bird's darkness against the gray sky. If you had lightened the bird in LRC, it would have ruined the image's authenticity. All these thoughts were running through my tired old brain. I agree with Larry; it's still a classic shot. |

Susan, I am so proud of you. You have come a long way since joining the group. I like the photo a lot for what you were trying to do. You show you understand the post-processing challenges, and that's great. With your gear and willingness to learn, you will be producing top-notch images in no time. Keep doing what you are doing. |

Wow, Michael! I'm jealous. What a great trip that must have been. This is a terrific shot of a gorgeous bird. The eye is brilliant, and the feather detail is great. Well done! |
